Boston-based financial giant $STT posted 4Q15 GAAP basic earnings of $547MM, up 16.6% YoverY. On a per-share basis, diluted earnings gained 20.7% to $1.34 from $1.11 per share. The results reflect $81.5MM pre-tax gain, or $49MM after-tax, related to the payoff of a commercial real estate loan acquired as a result of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.
