$AMAT, a developer of semiconductor chipmaking machines, posted lower 2Q16 results, hurt by higher expenses. $AMAT said net income fell 12% to $320MM, or $0.29 per share from $364MM, or $0.29 per share a year ago. Revenue was flat at $2.45Bil. Excluding items, $AMAT earned $0.34 per share.
