Maytag, KitchenAid and other appliances maker $WHR reported a drop in 1Q16 earnings due to unfavorable currency and weak emerging market demand as well as lower sales. Net income slid to $150MM or $1.92 per share from $191MM or $2.38 per share last year. Net sales fell to $4.62Bil from $4.85Bil. Ongoing business EPS rose to $2.63 from $2.14.
