The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.2% in Oct. on a seasonally adjusted basis after falling 0.2% in Sept. The indexes for food, energy, and all items less food and energy all increased modestly in Oct. All items less food and energy rose 0.2% each in Sept. and Oct.
