Electric power supplier $AES posted a loss during 2Q16 due to losses earned from the disposal and sale of its businesses. Net loss was $482MM or $0.73 loss per diluted share vs. net income of $69MM or $0.10 per diluted share in 2Q15. Revenue fell 11.7% to $3.2Bil vs. 2Q15, hurt by lower revenues in its regulated and non-regulated businesses.
