$APA 2Q15 PR: Apache Corp posted net loss of $5.6Bil or $14.83 per dil. common share; includes after-tax ceiling-test write down of $3.7Bil resulting from current low commodity-price levels and $1.9Bil of other items. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations was $1.3Bil. Worldwide reported production for second quarter was 564,000 boe per day.
Apple ($AAPL) reported decline in sales and profits from comparable quarter last year, attributing the decline to announcement of iPhone 7/7s. Sales and profit are being guided higher for next quarter. Apple is a solid company and will continue to dominate tech and consumer electronics segment for a while. Personally, looks like there is little downside in this investment.
Waiting with fingers crossed for $AAPL’s fourth quarter earnings.
