Ready-to-eat cereal maker $K posted a rise in 2Q16 earnings on lower one-time costs and higher profit margins. Net income rose to $280MM or $0.79 per share from $223MM or $0.63 per share last year. Net sales fell 6.6% to $3.27Bil. Comparable EPS slid 1.1% to $0.91, due to negative impact of currency translation from Venezuelan business.
