Insurance company $XL said it utilizes FX contracts to hedge the fair value of certain net investments in foreign operations. During 1Q16 and the year ago quarter, $XL entered into FX contracts that were formally designated as hedges of investments in foreign subsidiaries, most of which have currencies of either U.K. sterling or the Euro.
