Petroleum refining and marketing company $VLO posted a 40% YoverY drop in 2Q16 earnings, hurt by lower revenues. Net income was $814MM, or $1.73 per diluted share. Operating revenue fell 22% to $19.6Bil. "Despite a challenging earnings environment, our operations generated $2.3Bil of cash during the quarter," said CEO Joe Gorder.
