Apple ($AAPL) reported decline in sales and profits from comparable quarter last year, attributing the decline to announcement of iPhone 7/7s. Sales and profit are being guided higher for next quarter. Apple is a solid company and will continue to dominate tech and consumer electronics segment for a while. Personally, looks like there is little downside in this investment.

Railroad operator $NSC reported a 2% rise in 3Q16 earnings driven by lower costs and expenses as well as a decline in provision for income taxes. Net income slid to $460MM or $1.55 per share from $452MM or $1.49 per share last year. Total railway operating revenues fell 7% to $2.52Bil on reduced volumes and lower fuel surcharge revenues.

$CMCSA said high-speed Internet revenue increased 8.8% in 3Q16. Video revenue increased 4.5% and business services revenue increased 15.5%. Other revenue increased 13%. Advertising revenue increased 7.7%, reflecting an increase in political advertising revenue.
