Internationally, $CNK opened 3 theaters and 20 screens and closed 1 theater with 9 screens during 1Q16. As of 1Q16-end, the company had signed commitments to open 7 new theaters and 51 screens during 2016 and anticipates spending around $31MM in CapEx for these openings. For 2016, $CNK expects to spend $300-325MM in CapEx.
Apple ($AAPL) reported decline in sales and profits from comparable quarter last year, attributing the decline to announcement of iPhone 7/7s. Sales and profit are being guided higher for next quarter. Apple is a solid company and will continue to dominate tech and consumer electronics segment for a while. Personally, looks like there is little downside in this investment.
