$FOSL said its 1Q16 OpEx fell 3% or $11MM to $334MM compared to $345MM last year. A reduction in infrastructure cost and lower store expenses were partly offset by an increase in expenses associated with Misfit, including roughly $7MM in purchase account costs and strategic marketing investments. Excluding items, the company's expenses grew 2%.
$MCD stock rose more than 2% after it posted better than expected 3Q16 results, driven by global same-store sales growth. Meanwhile, earnings and revenue were lower than last year, hurt by refranchising efforts.
