$TRV's net investment income for 2Q16 fell by 83% last year, due to lower returns in both non-fixed income and fixed-income portfolios. Non-fixed income returns fell due to lower private equity and real estate partnership returns. As a consequence of the low interest rate environment, returns from high-quality fixed-income portfolio declined.
