Truck leasing company $R reported a rise in 1Q16 earnings driven by strong new sales activity across all contractual product lines on secular outsourcing trends as well as sales and marketing initiatives. Net income rose to $55.8MM or $1.04 per share from $52.8MM or $0.99 per share last year. Comparable EPS grew to $1.12 from $1.08.
