$WDC's hard disk drives share fell to 43.6% in 1Q16 from 44% last year. Total volume of HDD dropped to 51.7MM from 64.7MM, while average selling price rose to $60 from $58. Notebook volume fell to 15.8MM from 23.4MM and desktop volume decreased to 11.7MM from 16.3MM units, while consumer electronics volume rose to 11.5MM from 10.5MM.
No better outlook on $MSFT. Even if the results beat a bit, the stock may move 4 to 6% higher, but won't go above $60.
