Insurance firm $UNM said that for 2Q16, premium income growth in Unum US was driven by strong persistency trends and sales trends over the past several quarters. Total sales rose slightly with very strong performance in the voluntary and supplemental lines, offsetting a small decline in employee benefit lines.
