Data storage giant $STX reported a 3Q16 net loss of $21MM or $0.07 per share compared to a profit of $291MM or $0.88 per share last year, due to several near-term demand factors as well as lower revenue. Revenue fell to $2.6Bil from $3.33Bil. Non-GAAP net income was $66MM or $0.22 per share.
$KMB down close to 4% after it misses on earnings and revenue. Forecasts are lower for the year.
It is official, with $T buying $TWX, it looks like distributors want to own the content production too. Expect some good competition between Netflix ($NFLX), AT&T, Comcast ($CMCSA) and others. However, will this be good for the consumers will not be decided soon.
