The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today that the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) decreased 0.1% in Aug. on a seasonally adjusted basis as against an increase of 0.1% in July. The decline in gasoline index was the main cause of CPI-U decline. All items less food and energy index rose consistent to last month by 0.1%.
